Staying in your own home as you get older or as you cope with a disability or simply returning to your community after an illness, is what most people prefer to do as you will be in your familiar environment With the right help and qualified support this is possible for the majority of people. At Options Care we are able to offer services that allow people to do just that, for clients of all ages and all abilities.


 

We provide services for:

Supported Living, Alzheimer’s, Dementia & Other Conditions
Options Care services can help meet a variety of care needs related to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, arthritis, Parkinson’s, diabetes, depression, and other conditions.

Options Care Ltd provides care to adults with learning disability in their own homes. Care can range from thirty minutes right through to 24hrs.

 


 

General home help and companionship

  • Putting the laundry on
  • Doing activities with you in the house or just chatting
  • Arranging appointments for you to see friends or family
  • Taking the bins out
  • Helping to keep your house clean and tidy
  • Joining you in hobbies or games
  • Reminding you to take medication
  • Light housekeeping and cleaning

 


 

Personal care

  • Assistance with washing, bathing or showering
  • We can assist you with dressing and personal styling
  • Helping with continence care, toileting and personal hygiene
  • Support with eating and drinking and all dietary requirements
  • Physical assistance and support in moving around the home
  • Live-in Care, Respite support or Overnight Care
  • Providing specialist care to support those living with Dementia

 


 

Food preparation and shopping

  • From shopping for ingredients
  • Helping you prepare a shopping list or doing the shopping for you
  • Encourage you to do small tasks whether it be helping with cooking or something else.
  • Help you be more organised and feel more independent
  • Encourage you to get out and about wherever possible

 


 

Dementia

  • Specifically tailored care for different types of Dementia whether it be Alzheimer’s, Vascular Dementia, Lewy Body’s or many more.
  • Everybody’s experience of dementia is different.
  • Different stages of Dementia require different levels of care and our carers are experienced in helping people and their families cope.
  • Help maintain a safe environment in the home.
  • Provide mind stimulating activities.
  • Carers with compassion and patience, individuals with dementia are still the same people underneath.
  • Create social interaction and companionship
  • Familiar surroundings are the best in helping someone deal with memory loss.

 


 

Respite care &live in care

  • Allows a valued carer to recharge, safe in the knowledge that your loved one is being looked after.
  • Respite carers can take over for anytime period from a few days to several weeks.
  • Enables you to return to caring feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
  • Allows a valued carer to make time for themselves for their health and wellbeing.
  • A carer can have valuable time with friends and family and feel re-energised.
  • Plan ahead as changes in a person’s wellbeing can happen very quickly.

Supported Living

We have developed a supported living component to our service for those who prefer to live in company of others to emulate what work we do with individuals in their home.
Our Supported living homes offer an independent lifestyle in the community with the help from our experienced and skilled team members.
They will help you to do things you may be struggling with on your own such as
Getting out of bed
Going out shopping
Attending appointments
Housework or managing your finances.
Typically the supported living homes accommodate 3-5adults.
Our homes are designed to support adults living with learning disabilities, autism and associated conditions.
We like to work with individuals to creates bespoke living environment for them. Individuals can chose what furnishings they want in their room to personalise their space.

Caring is both challenging and rewarding experience that requires a special person with good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role in our company. All our carers are handpicked and work closely with the manager to ensure high standards are maintained throughout the company.
